To Save the Date or Not to Save the Dates. A really hard question. I have gone back and forth of this one, many times. Like most couples, we have a budget we’d like to stick to for our big day. While there is always going to be adjustments, I’m trying to decide whether to send or send those Save the Dates. I’ve heard that cutting the Save the Dates can be one way to save some costs here to spend a little more there. But with the holiday season just around the corner, I’ve been debating using our Holiday card (our first Holiday Card) as our Save the Dates! Like a little two for one? I’ve recently been looking at Minted’s Holiday cards, their new ones just came out, and liking what I’ve been seeing. I also really love our engagement photos and would love to share them more with friends and family! They have some adorable designs.
What I love about Minted is that their designs are not only unique, they are affordable and great quality. Did you know that Minted has a community of independent artists and designers in all 50 states? Their designs are always new and different. Whether your budget is small or big, Minted has the ability to customize what works for you! From Postcards to Classic Sizing and Foil-Pressed Options. I really love the postcard options, they are simple and at the right price for our budget. Did I mention they will address all your cards to your recipients for FREE? Time is money people. This will save me time and Minted is already saving me money.

Here are some of my favorite options and how I could possible customize them to be our Save the Dates. I’m not 100% on which photos I’d like to use yet, help me chose! I shared some of our photos here!
Okay, first option: Merry and Bright … “& Soon to be Married.” I love that you can preview all of your own photos and customize the text to your personal liking. This one is simple, but still has the beautiful fonts and gold greenery detail. What do you think of this little saying? I’m trying to get creative and do a little play on words type of thing.
Second Option: Wedding Bells to Jingle Bells – Okay, I really like this one as well, but it’s really for a newly wed couple. What do you think? Could we pull this one off? The mint and gold (real gold foiled) is beautiful. If you click the link above, you can get a little preview of the shimmer. Let me know your thoughts on this one.
Option Three: Merry – Another Merry & Soon to be Married. It’s starting to grow me on. What do you think? I love this simple design too, it’s clean and crisp. Starting to see a theme here? Me too. I love the brights and white. I think that we will have a lot of greenery for the wedding and in my flowers, which is why I also love this one. It would be all be hinting at our “theme” or at least part of our color palette. I’m still learning all the wedding things, but I’m pretty sure people do that.
Option Four: Happiest New Year .. To the Best Year Yet. What do you think of this little phrase? “Happiest New Year and the Best Year Yet.” I do love a good New Years theme. Fun Fact: B & I had our first kiss on New Years Eve. It will always hold a little special place in my heart.
There are so many great cards to choose from. I also really love this Wonderful Life Card, this Merry Card, and this “Singalong” card. The blue in the Merry Card is so beautiful and I like that it’s a little more winter holiday than a specific red or green holiday 🙂 Even though the red & green is one of my favorite holidays of the year.
The Holiday season is always crazy busy for me and my family so I love the idea of getting these checked off my list as early as possible. However, being that this is my first year sending them out, what are you tips for the best time to send cards? Late November?
